Argh, why does MacTCP hate me and my Classic!? Here's the scoop:

I have a Macintosh Classic running System 7.1 and 4MB RAM, and I'm trying to get MacTCP to run. Whenever I open it, it freezes up, and sometimes it displays an 'Out of Memory' error, but I have more then 2MB of RAM left! Does MacTCP even work with my system? And if it doesn't, is there other choices?

Well, my Mac doesn't support VM. But good news! I just snagged me a Classic II, with a lot of interent software already on it, so I'll try that!

I've never used MacTCP, but my first excruciatingly obvious question is to ask if it behaves as a regular cdev, or launches as an application. If the latter, have you tried giving it more memory?Go to Top of Page

Damn annoying indeed! Well, I'm coming closer to getting the Internet on this Classic II. Sorry if I haven't been around much!
