I just bought 4 quadra 950s. They don't seem to recognize the standard ADB Pro Extended keyboard II, and Apple mouse I have used for testing, or a spare set that is also known to work. I there anything wierd I need to know or do? Am I missing something? I assume it just uses regular ADB stuff like anything else.

2 machines have HDs and boot up completely, the other two boot the the floppy prompt. None respond to mouse or keyboard input.

If your Q950's are anything like mine, where you need to look is the ignition! Really, if the key/lock is twisted to the (...trying to remember...) RIGHT, like this: (/) then all user input is locked. I assume that this is to keep anyone from screwing up the server's settings while it's running (and out of the admin's sight!). If the key/lock is in the MIDDLE, like this: (|), everything should work right. And it's it's set to the LEFT: (\), then the system won't even boot at all.
Hope this helps!

Don't worry about it! Do your 950's have the proper keys? I have to admit, the key/ignition is the only reason I bought my 950 in the first place- I just couldn't get over the idea of owning a computer(not to mention a Mac!) that started up with the twist of a key! Just too darn cool to pass up...
I don't know if the 950's keys are interchangable or not, so if you're missing the proper key(s) to get these puppys up-and-running, lemme know and maybe we can figure it out.
Have fun!

It is easy to bypass the lock: just open the machine and have a look at where the wires load to the mobo, and play with shorting the jumpers.
