So I was at a fancy dress party last night (cowboys & indians theme if anyone cares) and got into a discussion with a young guy who's helping Flight Centre to "upgrade" all their computers. He was a unixhead and didn't care for macs much, however we found some common ground in agreeing that windows is a big pile of doggy doo.Anyhows... to get back to the point of this posting... Flight Centre are disposing of a stack of LC475s "this high" [holds hand at head height]. Unfortunately the Squaw has vetoed any liberations of this magnitude, so although I may be able to adopt a couple, I figure there's still 10-15 of the little beauties destined for the landfill. SO.... I'm looking for volunteers in or near the Sydney area who might have a spare nook or cranny to fill. You know who you are. I'll post back when I get more details. Cheers!

Just heard back from young Allistar... He's putting 8 aside for me. whee! Plus the promises of more to come.... LML (Little Miss Luddite) is gonna KILL me. And then she's gonna kill me again.So boys and girls... its playtime! Anyone want a free LC475? Sort me out for freight and it's yours... obviously dependant on my man coming through. Cheers!

I dunno... maybe 10 bucks?Just picked up the first load... 2 LC475s and 2 Quadra 605s Yipee! All with ethernet cards! Still gotta check out HDD sizes and RAM, but a fine liberation nonetheless! Another 4 await... no idea as to what they are as yet. Of course I'm all cut-up about the 20 or so that have already been buried... But I've settled on a surefire method of ensuring future loads of retirees get sent in my direction... Beer is a wonderful motivator! Cheers!
