This sounds really cool! My only worry is that the page looks like it's not been updated in a long while- is this news current? If so, it could rock! Still, I wonder how they plan on increasing the Newt' user base by such a huge number, since the hardware ain't even being made or developed any more.
Still, this could be cool!

PS Hey ~Coxy, were we going to trade a Newt memory card for the OS 2.0 chip? If so, I'd still like to do that... if you're still willing!

Well I am thinking that you might be able to run this new Newton software on new Palms and Handsprings, because they use the same StronARM processor as all the Newtons.

Ahhhh, I see... That'd be cool, and it'd also explain the mention of working with color screens, which (unless Apple's still keeping Newt secrets) I don't think ever came out!
I have to say, the only Newt OS upgrade I'm looking forward to trying is the 2.0 chip for my 120..... ~Coxy...... where aaaaaare yoooouuuuu.....
