Here is why: New 6500, goes to 128 RAM 7200, Server, goes to 144 RAM 7200, For Sale, goes to 64 RAM Now OWC's RAM is going for $26, so cheaper than that if by cash. On the same note, I do not ave that much cash and am selling the following (as seen in other sales by me): -(2) 7100/80 AV's, no longer with HD (I will let these go for even trade of 3 or 4 of the desired RAM sticks) -PB 170 -6100 mobo -That darn 24 bit radius Pro Nubus Vid card That should be it, hopefully I can work something out. The time of the email beats your post, i just didnt read theirs first. As for timac, is that RAM EDO, or not? 7200's have a strong dislike to EDO RAM. Also, can anyone tell me if a 6500 will accept 128 MB sticks of RAM? No problem, just have a 7100/80 that has become a project unit for now and thought it might have been cool to combine the shipping with the burner.
Da Penguin Senior Member USA 1094 Posts	Posted - 05 May 2002 : 07:13:36 Well, the only kind of RAM i need now is non-EDO, and I cant really "check" taht. 7200 users have done this and have had their mobo fried, I dont want to lose our server! But I have taken up an offer for two 128 MB chips in exchange for the 7100's, so those are taken. So all that are left is the Powerbook, 6100 mobo, and the nuBus vid card. The 6500 will only recognize them as 64mg so your stuck at 128 total RAM. Suggestion, sell off the 6500 and get a 7300 that has 8 RAM slots and then fill them up with all 128mg for a total of 1Gig of ram.
