I had to update my for sale list so hee goes...

Four 16MB FPM 168-pin DIMMs for PCI PowerMacs - $4 ea.
Eight 1MB 30-pin SIMMs - $0.25 ea.

One 80MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" x 1/2 height hard drive - $2.50
One 200MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" x 1/2 height hard drive - $3.50
One 230MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" x 1/2 height hard drive - $4

Two hard drive sleds for a desktop PPC - $2 ea.
One 5.25" drive sled for a desktop PPC - $2

Everything listed above works just fine unless noted. Below, I have non-working stuff that's sold for parts or to whoever wants to try to fix it...

One "non-working" 50-pin Iomega 1GB internal Jaz drive (powers on, won't take disks) - $2

One "non-working" 50-pin Panasonic internal CD-R, 4x write/8x read (powers on, tray works, unit is recognized on SCSI bus, but motor is noisy and unit does not mount CD's) - $5

I also have four IIfx SIMMS (64-pin) for sale, but I don't know what size they are. I'm guessing they're either 1MB or 4MB, but I'll find out later today and let you know.

So how much would the shipping be on the 230MB SCSI drive, and would it fit in an LC?

Shipping on ANY of the items listed above would be $4, which is for USPS Priority Mail up to 2 lbs. I doubt that anythibng I listed is over 2 lbs. The RAM SIMMS/DIMMS could be combined to save shipping costs.

If you can wait until Friday for me to send the money, I want that 230MB HD. Could you give me your address so I can send a money order for $8?

Matt, someone has already emailed me about the 230mb drive. So, unless they decide they don't want it...

Sorry, Ti. Somebody's already emailed me about the dead burner.

And uh...if I said it was broke, mailed it to you and it worked, wouldn't I be the one who was screwed?

Hey, TiMac, good news! The dead CD burner is available, if you want it. Oh and don't worry, it's good and broken just the way you want it.

Hey Cinemafia, Maybe you could update to let people know what you still have available!

Also are the 16mg DIMM still available?

Definitely still available:

Four 16MB FPM 168-pin DIMMs for PCI PowerMacs - $4 ea.
Eight 1MB 30-pin SIMMs - $0.25 ea.
One 80MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" x 1/2 height hard drive - $2.50
One 230MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" x 1/2 height hard drive - $4
One 5.25" drive sled for a desktop PPC - $2
One "non-working" 50-pin Panasonic internal CD-R, 4x write/8x read - $5

I still don't know the size of the four extra IIfx SIMMS I have. Hopefully by tommorrow...if you;re interested, please email me and be prepared to send a money order (preferably a USPS one!). My PayPal account is temporarily closed.

P.S. - I'm having issues using my hotmail addresses so I'm changing the email that shows up on my profile to be my home, Roadrunner email address. This means two things:

#1 - I will definitely get any messages sent to me and they will not be spontaneous deleted or something.

#2 - It's going to take me longer to reply to you because I can't check my Roadrunner mail from anywhere but at home.

Cinemafia: I sent your money for the 230MB drive a few days ago. Have you gotten it yet? I just want to make sure you don't sell it to somebody else.

Doesn't anybody want the four 16MB 168-pin DIMMS? I'll throw in a free refrigerator magnet...

Hey, matt! I received your payment. What do you want on the drive? I can put either System 7.6.1, OS 8.0, 8.1 or 8.6 (if it fits) on it. Let me know if there's any other s/w you need on there.

matt, I want to get it to you as quickly as possible so I'm going to mail it out today. It has a minimal install of OS 8.1 on it, and I beleive the SCSI ID is set to either 0 or 1 (depending on whether or not I removed the jumper).

Hey, TiMac! You're probably wondering why I never emailed you about the CD-R. Well, guess what? It miraculously started workign again. Or, at least, it mounts discs and is recognized in Toast, although I haven't actually tried burning yet. If it won't burn, it's still a working 8x CD-ROM, so I can't let it go for $5, but I would still be willing to sell it. If it does burn, I'll just have to keep it.

For everybody else, here's a revised list of what's still for sale:

4x 16MB FPM 168-pin DIMMs - $4 each or all four for $15
8x 1MB 30-pin SIMMs - pay for shipping and they're yours

1x 80MB 50-pin SCSI 3.5" 1/2 height HD - $2
2x standard hard drive sleds - $1.50 each
1x 5.25" drive sled - $1.50

I still don't know what size the IIfx SIMMs are.

Yes? What about me?

(I've been too busy with exams, etc. of late to hang out at the boards much recently, but I'm almost done now, and I needed a break!)

Not yet... though that doesn't mean it's not coming. It may be delayed clearing Customs, or something.

I'm leaving Toronto on Thursday evening, and going to BC for a couple weeks to visit family. If it hasn't arrived by the time I get back, then I'll start wondering whether it's gotten lost...

USPS has been incredibly slow lately. Three packages from them showed up a week later than I thought.

I'm with Matt on this one... consider:
a. increased Customs scrutiny in our post-9/11 paranoia (some of it justified, some not - but I won't start *that* rant right now...)
b. Christmas season, therefore increased traffic
c. Murphy's law, which knows no season

As I say, I will be patient for now in awaiting its arrival. If it's not here by the time I get back to Toronto (January 5), then I might start wondering what happened...

Anyway, best of the season to all! *sends prayers and warm holiday vibes everyone's way*

*comes back into the room, a huge grin on his face*

I just received an email from a friend of mine, who is still living in my rez in Toronto. He tells me that a large package (I assume he meant yours) arrived for me today and was left outside the porter's office (the rez is officially closed over the break), and that he has it in his room for safekeeping.

I won't be back in Toronto until the 4th, so I won't be able to check the system out until then. At least now, though, I know that the system arrived, most likely in perfect condition.
