I'm always afraid to buy a Mac without a monitor, in fear I'll have trouble finding one that will work later on. GRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Or is this easier than I think?I don't know what monitors can go with what models! Or are they all the same? Some PPC macs have had some wierd connectors.

That's true... 6100s at least had an unusual HDI-45 connector, which needs an adaptor to work with regular mac (DB-15) or PC monitors. I'm 95% sure that both the 950 and 660AV would have a DB-15 built-in... however for that last 5% I hope we can get feedback from actual owners of these beasts... of which there may be one or two lurking around these parts . If this is the case, then they should be able to drive pretty much any apple monitor... and most PC monitors through an adaptor. Cheers! And yes, you can drive a PC VGA monitor from a 950 using an adaptor.~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit 00014 Macs liberated |
