I've got this C610 sans cd drive and an old hard drive that has system 6 installed. Obviuously, 6 won't work. So I created install floppies of 7.1 from the images on the CD. However, I start it up and it says that 7.1 won't run on it and I need a newer system. I know this is wrong. But it doesn't. Any suggestions short of taking a cd drive out of another of my macs to install 7.5 or 8?

System 7.1 will run on a Centris 610, but you need System Enabler 040 v1.1 to get it to do it.
