Had to share this one; it's not a hardware rescue but I couldn't be happier.

I'd been hoping to find A/UX to restore my WGS95 to original form - had some good tips from various places, including here on the board [you know who you are - thanks!] Nevertheless, had no luck until seeing an old post in the comp.unix.aux newsgroup. Long story short, several emails and 6 hours of driving were rewarded with a full set of A/UX manuals and THE CD's! I'm still beside myself - this has to be the ultimate in geek nirvana.

cpu's are a LOT easier to come by, original media and full (read: woodpulp format with gutenberg encoding) documentation is a MUCH cooler and far rarer find than your WGS95!

jt . .

p.s. congratulations! color me jealous (of the CPU 2!)

You are SO lucky! I've wanted to run A/UX ever since I first heard about it, now I'm thinking about trading my 660A/V for an A/UX box.

Only in posts, and then only vaguely. Was there a story about it?

Someone 'discovered' it, and posted it to slashdot. Mac people replied and said "Nothing new, only A/UX. I thought everyone knew about that?"
