Thought you all might find this interesting: I was a grad student in 1990 at a University in the southwest. They had a pretty good Mac lab, which were all SE or Classics type Macs. However, being a grad student I was fortunate to be able to use the Mac IIs they had (about 10 or so). Funny to think back what a big deal that was. And it was, they were incredible computers. I would have never dreamed that in 10 years I would get a Mac IIfx for $25 or so.

If this trend continues, you're be able to buy a decked-out Dual 800 G4 with a 22" Cinema Display for about $5 in the year 2012.
Of course by then we'll all have graduated on to the Altivec-Mac Liberation Army...

Wow, that is weird to think about - iMacs going for $10.00. And Windozz and OS 15 will be on computers that will have Terabyte HDs and 20 Gig memories, but will they be that much better?
I honestly think it was easier to type on a Mac II with MacWrite or MS Word than today on a PC. A simple task has become so complicated...
We must save these computers so humanity will see their mistake
