A friend of mine has a Performa 63x (637 i think) CD that he isnt using. We tried MpegDec, but that was kind of choppy and not too fun. So he asked me if he could turn it into a really big equilizer for his 'dome made' stereo system. Now i have no clue if this is possible, but i never thought aboot it even. And now that i do, i think that would be kool. Anyone no if this is possible?
I'm just plain interested if anything exists like this at all. a 68k realtime equilizer sounds just plain geek-sweet! (Plus my friend would think im ultra computer guru man!)

There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path.

Probably the best thing to do would be to use a recording program with an equaliser, and just use it to play the music through (3.5mm in, 3.5mm out.) The only problem is going to be quality - I'd suggest an AV Mac with RCA in/out.

Hmmm, any clue as to what apps may handle this? My friend has the media capture card installed, just incase that helps. May cine might want to try something out with that 840AV

Hmmmm...real time audio equalization...I'll have to look into that one. I'm not sure that there's a 68k app that can do that...but I'll look into it!

Does it have RCA Audio in and out? I'd use that if I were you!

Anyway, try looking for Mac recording software: there's a lot of apps out there, one of them must do equalising!

Here's a link to try:
MacDSP (beta, looks PPC only ) http://www.versiontracker.com/moreinfo.fcgi?id=7660&db=mac

I downloaded MacDSP here at work and tried to use it on Basilisk II to see if it's 68k compatible, but it won't let me unstuff it...I have Stuffit 5.1 on here and it says I need Stuffit Deluxe...Grrrrrr....

Anyway, I'm guessing that it is PPC only, anyway. ProTools is one app that could do real-time EQ, but of course you need some form of DigiDesign hardware (AudioMedia Nubus card, etc.). If you had a PAS-16 Nubus card, it could do it. I'll keep looking.

That'd be a -192 error. Means its PPC only, and you are trying to run it on a 68k.

Ok now that the nit picking is done for the day. I keep gettting somewhere, and then slapped in the face. Either dead linkies or corrupted files or bizzare error numbers, like that one above. But yes, i am determined to find equalizer, any help is appreciated if you can Ti. Thankee
