Some of you may have already seen this, but apparently some guy has a one of a kind tempest Mac that is different from the tempest Macs on Applefritter, in that it was actually made by Apple.

Nifty! Anybody up for a tempest-esque SE/30 mod (flip down panel, bernoulli drive space)?

Wow...can you imagine getting that for $5! The ultimate Anti-SpyMac!!! I'd put a new SE/30 Mobo in, along with 128MB of RAM and swap the Bernoulli box for a 2GB Jaz drive.

This brings up an interesting point, atleast to me. How "durable" are our 68k's as they are? I know no one wants to fry their beloved quadra, but just wondering if anyone has specs, both from EM interference as well as physical stress. Just think;

I'd love to hack an SE or an SE/30 to look something like the Tempest! It'd be really cool to do this to a Color Classic, but I don't have any of those anymore.
I've also been keeping my eyes out for a cool-looking old luggable PC case (something like the early Compaq cases) to convert into a heavy-duty PortaMac. Anyone else done this? I should go check Applefritter... Sometimes I have the best ideas for a hack, and then see that someone did it three years ago..... grrrr....
PS Anyone out there have one of those old Mac-compatible bernoulli drives? Do they work well? Well enough to store super-secret CIA info, I'd assume!
