actually, that's one hell of a good idea! do any of our members speal/edit japanese? if we each (spanish/italian/german/french too!) had site translation specialists/site mirroring techs we could get a NATO/SEATO?Warsaw Pact type cooperative venture going to get ALL our liberator sites co-ordinated on a worldwide basis. i'd love to have GOOD (wetware edited) language specific mirrors of the sites in my links project. the prospect of access to technically accurate and linguistically correct translations of some of the japanese and german sites has me drooling already! some of the russian and eastern european sites have no transations available at all as far as i can tell. alliances of groups like ours along the lines of the international versions of the Mac OS would seem to be a natural evolution of the information sharing that appears to be developing in parallel all around the globe.

what do the rest of you comrades think about that idea, how could we make something like this happen on a worldwide basis?

First off, here is the English page:
http://www.powerbook.org/index.html

Secondly, that page hasen't been updated in almost 3 years. It may not be as good of a find as was once thought.

i had already found their english page, but hadn't noticed the last update notice. one of their links, "the duo zone" is one that i have posted repeatedly as a great source of info here, on fritter and elsewhere.

i was saying that alliances with any active like-minded groups might be an idea worth pursuing. what do you think of that as a general strategy? we've already got raWr as an active "english as a second language" member who is interested in helping to develop our site. if we can find more "foreign" language recruits with similar interests, our knolwledge base could be extended significantly if there is oame way to get them cooperating on a cross-translation campaign.

p.s. hey, raWr, what's your native language? i can't tell from your profile because your family moves around so much!
