Hi- I also am new here, but have sort of followed the MacAddict threads (2-3 months ago) . I'm trying to use one of my extra 540C's as a Hotline Server (20MB RAM OS 7.6 or 8.1) with an external SCSI drive. I'm using 1.2.3 server software. I have a Speedstream DSL/Cable router that I'm using. I cannot get the server outside of the router (can access the server via internal LAN, but from outside, no go).I've tried to DMZ the IP, that doesn't work. Tried forwarding, that also isn't working. I'm wondering if maybe it's the software. Is there a 68K version of HL Server after 1.2.3 I can try? I know 1.8.5 is PPC only, but I hear of a 1.5.1 build and wonder if anyone else here has any ideas/advice. Thanks, Tim ~Duo130 ~540C (X2) ~190CS ~Amiga 500(68000, right?)

1.5.x is 68k also, and tends to work much better than the 1.2.x version. I don't know that it will fix the problem, but it's worth a shot!666th poster and 666th thread-creator Mod of the Mac II series Forums Total 68K Macs liberated: 7 Regular Disappear! |

that one doesn't work so good. I'd rather have a clean version.
