The TIL says that the Q660av can display resolutions up to 1152x870 with the built in 1meg of vram. I have an audiovision 14 monitor (14", duh) and can only get up to 640x480. This puzzles me, because it seems like i should be able to run at least 800x600 on this thing. It's only an inch smaller than an iMac monitor, and they display 1024x768! Tell me I can do something about this without a new monitor because this post barely fits in my IE window! Not that I'm hopeful.{ candyPunk } { 68k MLA } { Macs liberated: 6 } { My baby: Q660av } |

A large number of vintage monitors ran at a fixed resolution of 640x400 or 640x480. To get the higher resolutions (832x624, 1024x768) you need a MultiSync monitor. The AudioVision 14 is a fixed resolution monitor. ------------------ Captain Z - Sniper 68K Macintosh Liberation Army 17 68K Macs Liberated |

I have an old PC monitor hooked up to one of my non-68k Macs, and it's locked at 640x480. A new monitor is your best bet.----------------------- Yes I am matt from MAF. |

Well, I have an old, old PC VGA monitor, and it's able to display up to 832X624 with a Viewsonic adapter (the ones with the DIP switches on it.) I find that ordinary adapters just lock it at 640X480 (even on my PowerMac 7500 with a 3 year old PC monitor.) If your using a PC monitor, get one of those, they run about $10.------------- Spring has sprung, fall has fell, winters here and it's colder then usual.
