I just updated my PB165 to OS7.5.5! Woohoo! Now what all can I do with this 33MHz speed demon? I know probably not much--just wanted some thoughts. I have connected to the internet with it before, but I'm not much interested in doing that; I'm liking my DSL too much for that right now.

nah. Marathon is a GREAT game, let me tell you!

The problem is though, the performance is less-than-admirable on '030 based machines, especially with low RAM, such as on your PB. I've run it on my LCIII a couple of times, and wasn't too satisfied with the performance, compared to what its doing on my '040s and PPCs. However, one thing you should do, is to take it to LAN parties and use it for Bolo, a great game which would run terrifficly on the old PB. Hook up a monitor and joystick, and play FA/18 Hornet 1.1.2. A great old flight sim. Dad and I play it all the time...you should see how it looks on our TV through the Apple Presentation System (you need one...they're great)

There's also Spectre, Glider, Rescue, and lots other great old games! There's no end to the uses of an old '030 based PowerBook!

In short: Have fun!

Either get them off our hotline server (are they there?), or send an email to me at lcguy@freebox.com
