Keeping my fingers crossed I now have a modem. it is 33600 kbps, I just got the first one I could. The good thing is it will connect to 25 pin or 9 pin. I was dreading the din connection with the quadra but I can (can I?) connect via that 25 pin socket? I also got myself an svga monitor adapter and today I am bidding on a cd caddy. so fingers crossed I think I have all that I need just for the moment. I now have(I will post this in the quadra/centris section).

NO, DON't TRY IT! that's SCSI if it's DB-25 on a Mac, the only mac related DB-25 serial connector i've seen is the imagewriter wide carriage serial port, dunno about the regular one, but pro'lly.

Your in the us which is a complete bummer, not as in being in us is bad period but shipping is horredndus from thier. If you supplied me with a moden which was fancy and could plug into my quadra then I would pay but how much? not much cos I think I can get modems dirt cheap. What I would pay for is somthing fancy which I could just plug in no problems no finding fiddly drivers. make me an offer but I should get by with the 33600 thing I got. I got a voice cd with it!:-)
