I'm desperate to get a dongle. Once I can use it to get SOME stuff on my Newt, I can use an ethernet card I have to do the rest, so I don't even have to BUY it, just borrow for about 2 days, plus shipping time.ANYONE? ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Holder of the Compact Mac - -Stick of Justice, with Explodeing CRT head -Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

Is this the lil thingie that goes into the communication type port (its long and flat type port) and then comes out as a serial on the other side? Cause i have one of those as well as a good bit of boooks, cable adapters (for printers and such). Give me descriptions and I shall give you parts!!~The Penguin |Captain, Intelligence Operations| There is only one path and that is the path that you take, but you can take more than one path. 68k.torpedobird.com <-- Hotline Server |

How do you tell the difference between a Male and Female AI (Artificial Intelligence)? One looks for information on a dongle, the other on a port. ANYWAYS... Yeah! I'd love the dongle, I'd LOVE the 32 MB card (since my 4 meg was stolen with my 130) and I'd be interested in hearing what else you had. Besides money, do you need anything in trade? ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Holder of the Compact Mac - -Stick of Justice, with Explodeing CRT head -Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

Ok, WELL.....*starts digging through box of newt shtuff* on top of the dongle and mem card i found the following: -Serial to Parallel Adapter, 3', Newt branded -Power adapter -Serial to serial adapter, (round to DB-?15*i think*) as well as another small dongle that adapts from the db-?15 to DB-25 -When salvaging my deceased newt, i removed and still have the one removable 'chip' on the inside. No clue what it is for, but if someone needs it for whatever reason i got it. -Spare Screen Cover Protector thing -Leather Case for Earlier (1xx?) Newtons, it doesnt fit 2xxx -MicroFiber Case for Newt 2xxx, includes a raising stand for the newton, two pouches for cards, Protected Keyboard area. Wish I had more on these two cases. -Books and Software, as follows: Newt Internet Enabler Users Manual, Message Pad 2000 Manual (big one, 275 pages! ), QuickFigure Works Manual, Message Pad 2000 'Getting started', Using Email on you Message Pad 2000, Software license and other small pamphlts too numerous to name..., 'En Route' by netstratgey, Network Solution Guides, Newton Works Word Processor User's Manual, Warranty too! ----Software:--- NCU Beta v1.0 Mac, NCU beta v1.0 Windoze Newt software backup windoze, Quickfigure works windoze, Various Other Out of order disks for 3rd Party Shutt and backup, If I can find the rest they may become useful. That *should* be all of it, whew big list. Anybody needs anyof this stuff, lemme know. Most of the books wont go for much more than shiping. Only thing im asking money or swap for is the parts. Oh and Marchie, Are a few things I could Use such as: -168pin RAM for a PM 7200 -SCSI HD, 750+MB -PCI Enet Cards, 100Base -Nice Surround speakers w/ subwoofer, I love music -7200 SCSI Ribbon -External SCSI enclosure (working!) Ok, whew, I'm done. I don't need/want the serial adapters (other than the Dongle that this started with), the 1xx case, or anything under the software section...Everything else... the power adapter, mem card, dongle, case for 2x00, the printed manuals, everything... I'll take it. Hmm... 16MB of 168 pin RAM I can start with... I don't hyave a SCSI case, but I DO have Internal to External SCSI plates... they would fit on the opening of a PCI slot, and hook up to a ribbon cable inside, and have an external 25 Pin SCSI port on the outside. You can make a SCSI box out of an Old PC or something... I also have money... so how does that sound? ~Marchie ~Chaplain Marchie Holder of the Compact Mac - -Stick of Justice, with Explodeing CRT head -Wand of Power with Shocking Flyback Transformer Tip ~~"We are all Mad here"~~ |

If the Newt was a MP120, then the chip is probably the OS ROM chip. ~Coxy - Leader, Tactical Operations Unit 00014 Macs liberated |

So here is what I'm thinking; 16 MB RAM + 2 SCSI Plates + $25 including shipping to you? Lemme know if this worksAs for the chip, its out of a 2100, but it probably still holds the smae purpose Any one crazy enough to need one?? hehe... ~The Penguin P.S.- The Stuff Marchie Didnt Claim IS available and cheap for anyone who needs it. |
