While hideous, i think it's so comical and unique that it isn't the world's ugliest. That honor, for me at least, goes to the ultra-generic beige boxes. No thought put into it, no design consideration whatsoever.

Yeah if you think aboot it, they actually put(.....uh oh should i say this?) thought into the design. Everyday beige boxes with a lil lite strapped on get quite old. A computer that looks like a regurgitated brain, now THAT has some effort behind it! Even if it was cheap and all.....

Let's face it: most PC geeks don't care how their computers look, they will use and proudly display them as long as they are functional.
I can't say that I would put a PC in a nice case if I would build one; to save money, I'd probably put it in a tupperware container if it could manage the heat (actually, that wouldn't look so bad...).

Well, that certainly solves the problem of lining up all the holes and screws when mounting mobo ...I think it's a hillarious solution of what to do with old PC parts.

Oh, and in addition to not building one of those with a PIII/IV, don't use a big ass scsi drive (tm). Even at 5400 rpm, those bastards generate a lot of heat.

Hmm... Penguin: I would rather say that they put thought into the 'concept' rather than the 'design.' This person had an idea for a lightweight, durable PC case, which was cool. However, they just put it together haphazardly and shot foam everywhere. This is archetypical of the differences between Mac mentality and Wintel mentality. Mac people not only think of function, but also of æsthetic concerns. Wintel thought usually is 'if it works, that's good enough.'

just wanna know if it will work, adaptec tech told me the only differences between SCSI and IDE drives were the control boards attached to them. so if you have identical mechanisms, swapping boards should work!
