The MAF-frequenters here know that the MAF closed "Vintage Macs" on March 30th...

What I forgot to do,however, is download the 68k MLA's founding threads (http://homepage.mac.com/mla68k/roots.html)...Did anybody here happen to download them out of absolute loyalty and devotion? If nobody has, i'll just send an email to Am asking if they're backed-up somewhere (they're currently 404s right now...I'm hoping they didn't delete any...)

They're still around... just in the genral VM archives! A whole lot of history is frozen in time...

Anyway, we should dig them out and back them up for safety's sake.

The pages are also still being held in Googles' cache:

www.macaddict.com/forums/Forum5/HTML/001036.html+I+just+liberated+a+Mac+&hl=en&ie=UTF8" target="_blank">http://www.google.com/search?q=cache:PK53YZilgiEC:www.macaddict.com/forums/Forum5/HTML/001036.html+I+just+liberated+a+Mac+&hl=en&ie=UTF8

(The above is all one URL)

Cheers

Unfortunately, the automatic URL parser on these forums tends to screw up those long URLs with quotes and sub-URLs and what-not...

Hmm, the board cocks-up the parsing of that URL

Just search Google for "I just liberated a Mac", and click on cached pages on the appropriate one.

Thats it! :)
