Yeah, that's right, from that refurb madness place someone posted on MAF I picked up an LCII (performa 405), LCIII, and IIsi. All I had to pay was shipping. They all even had hard drives, disk drives, and ram. I think this was a nice score. I can't think of what to use em for though. My Q660av surfs the web, does my homework, plays games, etc. I don't know what else I need to do, really. I've got a centris 610 that I'm going to fix up, and then I'll face the same problem. What can a less powerful machine do that a better one can't...? Oh, I guess if I ever learn linux well enough to matter, one of those could be a dedicated linux box. Any other ideas?{ candyPunk } { 68k MLA } { Macs liberated: 4 } { My baby: Q660av } |

That is pretty cool. I was talking to a girl in our Marketing department who paid like $3500.00? or maybe it was $5000.00 for a Mac II si? in the early 90s. Wow. Man I wish I has one in college sure would have made typing papers easier. I used a word processing program on the mainframe, rather than use those DOS based PCs (Windows 3.0 was around, but many felt it was worse than DOS).Cool find, 3 more rescued

Wow. And I was feeling bad for a while for paying $500 for my IIsi in the early 90s. Geez, $3500.
