I picked this one up on eBay about a week ago. I was looking for a cheap G4, mainly so that I could install 10.4 onto my PowerBook G3 Lombard's hard disk, since I could not get the installer to work. It's a "Yikes!" G4, which would make it about 10 years old. G4 400Mhz, and it came with 512MB RAM, DVD-ROM, and a 55 GB hard disk (which crapped out, unfortunately). This one replaces my Beige G3, which I was running OS 9.2.2 for general computing stuff. Since my iPhone G3 does not want to work on my Lombard (USB 1.1), I plan on getting a USB 2.0 card and putting in a ~60GB hard disk for all my iTunes stuff as well.
This is my first desktop G4, and my first G4 since my ill-fated iBook G4 (which was really quite awful), and it runs OS 10.4!!! My only complaint is no serial port.
The price? $6 plus shipping!
