Yard Saleing

I went yard saleing today.

I hit the yard sales today when they were giving stuff away.

I snagged two printers for free:

Canon BJC-7004 Photo Color Bubble Ink Jet Printer

HP DeskJet 560C

Also, two free scanners

ScanJet 3200C

PaperPort 6100

And, a GameBoy for 8 bucks with Pokemon Yellow and a carrying case.

I am going to sell everything except the Canon printer and GameBoy.

Nice haul!

Several years ago I got a Canon S400 printer for free. After two printheads over several years, I finally got rid of it a few weeks back.

I hope yours does as well as mine did.

Beware of free printers. They sometimes end up costing you a fortune in ink cartridges, especially if they are lower end models. That's how the printer makers get their money. They sell the entry level printers for next to nothing and then only put a few drops of ink in the cartridges so you have to keep buying more all the time. It's worth it to pay more initially for a top model, especially if it uses separate cartridges for each color.

That is very often true.

The 560C I am giving away, I saw ink online for $12.50.
