I'm actually planning to install a tray loader drive. They're typically faster anyway. That, plus I could use the drive I have for my SE, mounted in an external ZFP case, while I use the CD-R drive I have as a CD-ROM drive for my IIci.

I'm hoping to conquest an SE/30 and a IIfx, maybe an Apple IIgs system as well. Do need to source a couple extra ADB keyboards and mice, plus a M1212 monitor, since the Dell LCD doesn't really place nice with Macs that use SOG (sync on green).
Do you care what kind?
I have a couple Apple Design keyboards I'm thinking of parting ways with....

Already have one of those... lol ;-) Use it with the G3, since it's better than the A1048 I was using. Looking more for a M0116 and a M0487 or a couple M0116's.
Looks like I just conquested an A9M0106 that looks to have been converted into a G7287 SuperDrive. I don't recognize the handwriting on the bottom of the case, so I don't think it was one that I converted, but who knows... Will come in handy for installing software on the SE until I either fix or replace the drive inside it.
Later Monday or sometime Tuesday, I should have a M1212 monitor coming from Montana by way of my brother-in-law, who is picking it up on his way back home from visiting his parents. May also be receiving a M0116 keyboard for the SE...
Does that 68040 chip work?
As soon as I find where I put my thermal paste tube, I'll be able to swap it in. I suspect it'll be fine.
I spot some strange looking G4/G3... I dig that.
Yep, a B&W G3 with the clear G4 plastics on it. Was easier to place the computer sideways on the desk, since it gives me enough room to use the mouse I have attached to the MBP, while still letting me pull the monitor forward and use the G3's keyboard when I need to.
A9M0106 finally arrived. Needs help. IIci also arrived. Again, floppy drive needs help. From RE-PC, I picked up a hard drive power extension harness, a power cord that'll let me plug the Dell monitor into the passthrough connector on the G3's power supply, an Adaptec APD-29160N, and a Linksys WMP54G wi-fi card. Friday, another IIci may come home. One with better plastics.
I have a rough looking QuickSilver case around. Could use the plastics on that to make something similar with my QS2002.
Go for it. That said, I'd be tempted to find some G3 plastics for the sides, to give it some Bondhi Blue mixed in with the silver...
G3's Blueberry, no? Bondi was about the worst color Apple ever shipped. 8-b
Bondi. Kinda that torquoise blue of the "Post reply" button. ;-P
I honestly liked the Bondi Blue color. It's a good shade of teal. Personally my other favorites were Grape, Lime, Tangerine, Ruby, Indigo, Graphite, Flower Power, and Strawberry. Snow looked somewhat uncanny to me.
Yeah, I don't mind it...
