What is right discopy version for OS 8.1 and how to install it?

Hello,

im trying to make Diskcopy working on OS 8.1 - 68k for using of *.img files.

 I have tried 4.2 and 6.0 - But i got message  - Disk Copy will not run on this kind of Macintosh since certain required support is not provided.

  6.4 - message is application progream DiskCopy 6.4 could not be  opened, because it might be damaged or not work on this type of computer.

Have you tried DiskCopy 6.3.3?

Well never heard of disk copy 6.4 so that may be one of those fake files.

Armor Alley says 6.3.3 and I agree.

7.5.5 plays nicer with disk copy but if 8.1 is all you have then 6.3.3 should work.  Just remember sometimes .img files made with older disk copy versions may not be able to be used with newer versions.

I have both versions on my macs just for that reason.

6.3.3 is working, but i need somehow fix broken file association (or maybe copy Discopy somewhere?) which is already pointed to version 6.4 which was not working.

I believe Disk Copy 6.4 (and 6.5) are internal apple releases, I think they have something to do with the Apple Software Restore discs that booted into OS 9 and restored OS X and OS 9 onto the hard disk.
