without your site i’d had never have been able to my PowerPc up to the level i needed to get it on to Macintosh Garden, but even more importantly your site got my se/30 up and running!

That page is really a lot more popular than I ever thought it would be. Now that it's on its own subdomain, it should be a piece of cake to run it forever... or at least until the very last beige Mac on earth dies.

It helped me no end. I couldn’t do squat with my se/30 when i purchased it on a whim struck by nostalgia. In truth i’d never actually used a b&w compact mac as my first mac was a Colour Classic my parents brought me for college, on my

graphics course they were all colour macs like II’s, Si’s and LC’s (were looking 1991-1994 era) but all the staff had these curious little compact b&w machines so when i saw one for £60 on eBay (also not knowing se/30 was the one to get) I brought it with little thought about actually being able to use it, also remembering how to use vintage macs from before the time of the internet after 20 years of pc was another experience add to that mine had been formatted so was basically useless with no software. That was until i found your site and here of course at 68kmla. I still needed to get software on it so brought a cheap PowerPc, a few rebuilt floppy drives, recapped board, a few zip drives later and hey presto finally after 18 months of sitting on the desk i started to be able to do stuff on my old macs. So thank you it was down to these sites and people like you.

ha well i think they’ll be little beige boxes needing your site for a few more centurys yet!

I am not sure where to post this, but found a site advertising their school styled Hypercard stack! It is still up! Have not tried downloading the demo. Know it isn't very useful, but my search has not brought up a good thread for interesting old style sites (besides this one).

I use a service called Fastmail for my email. And one of the coolest things I accidentally discovered about it is that it can make websites that are viewable on your classic Mac! I also like the fact that it is not a Google product, but I digress.

When you sign up for an email account with Fastmail, you also get storage space (I have 30gb with them). It has a built-in basic web template that you can use to do things like make a simple file server or a picture folder.
