I wonder why there are no photos of the guts of it? Where is the serial number?
I agree, pictures guts would be nice. But the 'shrine's raison d'être is aesthetics, not necessarily technical detail. No serial number because this was an engineering sample; they weren't ever put on sale.

To the best of my knowledge, this UniFile disk drive was recently purchased from former senior Apple engineer Bruce Lee. He decided to sell off several of his prototype units to some private collectors. A few of them did hit eBay as well. Unfortunately, this particular UniFile drive lackeds i's original power supply and potential interface card. Also, its operational condition was/is a mystery. The UniFile drive was potentially compatible with the Apple III, Lisa, and possibly Macintosh?. I backed out when the offers he was receiving went in excess $3,500. There is currently an Apple III uni/duo interface card up for grabs on ebay. Cheers to the lucky bidder. Bidding starts at $250.00
