Umax J700 PSU?

I have a Umax J700 and its power supply (Seasonic 250gpx) seems to be dying. Does anyone know about these?

- Are they easily replaced with newer PSUs? If so, how do I determine which one is best?

- It has a 12-pin connector whereas later PSUs have 24. Can a newer PSU be used with an adapter?

- Is it mostly capacitors dying that kills PSUs and those could be replaced to revive it instead of trying to replace it?

Appreciate the help.

Tablet typing.  Sorry.

Replace with any ATX supply.  I like Corsair.  Need to make adapter or rewire supply.  Google SuperMac Insider by Kennedy Brandt. Support. Technical issues. Instructions there.  Ignore bit about minifit BMI, red herring.  Perhaps easiest to start with ATX extender cable.

Oh, and I did find the bare AT style connectors somewhere.  So they're available.  Where, though.  I'll check to see if I made a note somewhere.

It looks like all of the Umax boxes save for the C series share the same power supply.

Electrically they’re very similar to ATX and share the same signals and voltages, so it’s an easy job to adapt a standard ATX PS for the job. It’s entirely possible to desolder the harness from the original PS and solder it directly to a standard ATX unit (though a fancy multi rail type may be problematic). However the stock PS has that extra mounting area on the back which most standard PSes don’t. The PS is a stressed structural component in some if not all Umax cases so lacking that mount may be an issue.
