Two recent additions to the horde

While my classic-computing hobby has been dramatically slowed by work / life / random distractions, I have managed to snag a couple of additions to my ever-expanding collection of Macs...

First, I was fleet of fingers when I saw a LowEndMac Swaplist posting for a PowerBook Duo 2300c, and managed to be the first to put dibs on it - this was roughly a month or so ago. It came with quite a few nice add-ons, including 6(!) batteries (though none of them holds much charge), a DuoDock II+, lots of cables, a floppy Microdock (with external floppy drive), and a few other things as well. It booted right up, and is happily running system 7.6. I've never had a Duo before, and while I'm still holding out hope that I'll find a PowerBook 2400 someday, this little beastie will certainly tide me over.

Second, the woman who runs my local UPS Store noticed me in my Apple work-shirt the other day, and asked if I like "old Mac stuff." Never one to look a gift Mac in the ports, I said sure, and she offered me her old "polka-dot iMac." I assumed she meant one of the (much coveted, by me at least) Blue Dalmatian machines, but when I stopped in to get my mail yesterday, I found two HUGE boxes of random Mac-related stuff, and a Flower Power iMac. The iMac is sadly pretty thrashed - it was a kids machine, and so is covered in stickers and has some marker on the case. Worse, though, is the roughly 8-inch crack in the side of the lovely Flower Power case, which is starting to completely separate from the lower casing. Still, all the goodies that came with it were more than worth the trouble of carrying it to my car - there are original manuals, CD's, an OS X 10.0.1 disc, lots of "Moving to OS X" and "OS 9 for Dummies" type books, cables, an Altec-Lansing speaker system, etc. etc. etc. I haven't really sorted everything out yet, but it looks like quite a bit of useable stuff.

So, in conclusion, does anyone have a Flower Power or Blue Dalmatian case they're not using?

Nice score on the Duo 2300.

I wouldn't mind owning one of those, but I have to get rid of some of the crap I have now before I bring home anything else.
