This computer may not have been shutdown.. message

Is there any way get rid of this message which manifests in every boot?
Alright I may have shutdown improperly once, you got me but I see this in EVERY boot.
Do I have to go over logs or something to see what may have been corrupted or else.
Or there is an easy way to get rid of this message?

There's a hidden file called something like "Shutdown check" in, I think, either the root directory or the System Folder (sorry for my imprecision, doing this from memory). It sounds like for some reason that's got stuck existing. You should be able to use any tool that can manipulate hidden files to render it visible and delete it.

Any idea on what software I could use?I don't think I have any third party file manager installed.

Personally, I always use ResEdit, though that's probably using a sledgehammer to crack a nut here. But if you have ResEdit, you can do "File -> Get File/Folder Info", select the file, and turn off the "hidden" flag so you can manipulate it.

The way the warning works is that the file is created at boot and shutting down deletes it; so if the computer finds it's already there when it's turned on, it probably didn't finish shutting down properly.

I use FileBuddy for all things of this nature. It was a staple utility back in the old days and it's just as glorious today.

That probably is a more sensible option than ResEdit
