TAM with a dead screen

Nice score!  The LCD is an exact switch from a 3400/Kanga - be picky in what you choose as a replacement as brightness levels vary significantly from PB to PB.  My TAM had an LCD issue when purchased (it became worse from the trip to US to Australia) but this was related to the analog to digital board between the LCD and the motherboard; it caused flickering then a blank screen.

Let us know how it all looks when you get it!

how do we "know" the screen is dead?

Do you get a chime? Do you get a green LED after chime? do you hear the machine booting? Can you shine a flashlight into the LCD if the machine is booting and see if you have an image?

From the ebay ad:

20th Anniversary Mac- this is a great computer, updated with iTunes and the Bose subwoofer makes it a fantastic music server. I put it in storage four years ago and now the display is not working. The computer turns on and chimes, just nothing in the display. Complete with keyboard, track pad etc.

Make sure the battery didnt leak onto the motherboard. its stuck right there by the graphics chip, and if it leaks youll get no display.
