System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 and System Software 7.5 is here!

I've fixed the Install Disk 8! Now, you can enjoy your two version that available in RapidShare LinkList. Here is the System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 and System Software 7.5. Some system updates (like 7.5.5 Update and Update 2.0) will available from Apple. 7.6 will not tolerated. Systems in model-specific coming soon.

Here is the versions I have in my LinkList:

- System Software 7.5 Original (install disk complete, some items not completed)

- System Software 7.5 Version 7.5.3 (Complete, although the Install Disk 8.img has been fixed and tested)

Now, as I said in the other topic, if that floppy image indeed has a bad checksum, all you have to do is to skip the checksum test within Disk Copy. The image mounts just fine.

From the other topic:

I can confirm what slomacuser says. I just try to install 7.5.3 from the floppies images found on the so-called Legacy CD Rar. It went just fine in Mini vMac. Disk Copy does indeed think image #8 has a bad checksum. Then what? Just mount the image and skip the checksum test! It's just that easy, really.
Note you may want to set Mini vMac emulation speed to 1x before mounting the image, in order to have the time to click on "skip" before it's too late!

Anyway, I posted the Mini vMac 7.5.3 .dsk 24 Mb image I just created (standard installation on a virtual Macintosh SE, no other software). Hopefully that will reduce the number of multiposts about System 7.5.3 around here, since IMHO it's one of the crappiest OS released by Apple. Basically useless since all Macs capable of running it can (and should) be upgraded to 7.5.5, and those who can should be upgraded to at least 7.6.1. Just my two cents, though!
