Hello. Can you find the System 7.5.2 disk images for Power Macintosh 7300 and 8500 for download?

I've see the article in Apple System Software Recovery CD 1 dated May 2000, in the System 7.5.3 folder read me.

It's says in the "About System Software 7.5.3" in Recovery CD 1 dated May 2000:

Because of this, we have removed all previous versions of 7.5.x on this CD.
But in Apple Legacy Recovery CD in any other date like early 1999 or late 1999, it have the System 7.5.1 or 7.5.2, without any Power Macintosh installation disks.

Edit: I have my Apple ID (Morunapple). Dog Cow, please reply here for System Recovery Disks dated early 1999.

What I (and i'd imagine others) would like to know is...why do you need all this?

Same here. I mean, nothing wrong with it, but I just don't understand why it seems to be so important to you. Tracking down original CDs on eBay or the like "just to have them" in your collection is cool, but why is it so important to have disc images of basically useless software? (not that I don't have some Gigabytes of useless software lying around myself, get me right)

But on Macs in my collection, I usually istall the original OS whenever I have the discs or it's easy to find, but when it's not I'll just go with the most stable version, like 7.1, 7.5.5, 7.6.1, 8.1, 8.6, etc…

Because System 7.5.3 was the "Unity" release, intended to fix a lot of bugs with 7.5, and bring ALL Macs up to the same version. At the time, they had two current releases of System 7.5 - System 7.5.2 for PCI based Macs, and 7.5.1 for all other Macs. And both of those releases had serious issues. With Apple giving you System 7.5.3, there's no NEED for them to offer any previous versions.

Images are illegal unless the publisher has explicitly released it to the public (such as what Apple did with 7.5.3).

morundos: Why do you NEED 7.5.1 and 7.5.2, anyway? Really...System 7.5.3 was released for a reason...to fix a LOT of bugs that were present in 7.5.1 and 7.5.2. Really...there's nothing you can do in 7.5.1 or 7.5.2 that you can't do in 7.5.3 or 7.5.5. And its much more reliable, and much easier to go with the System 7.5.3 offered by Apple and then the 7.5.5 updater offered by Apple than it is to go with any of these offerings that you've put up on RS.

But apple released up to OS9 even on their secret servers. anyone want a linky? i'll give a link to pretty much anyone via PM but morundos.

Can we PLEASE stop talking about this link, before Apple finds out and shuts us out of the server?

Unreachable error. OK. Done here now.

If you need them again, use 7.5.3 as the free download. I saw the 7.5.3 torrent here:

→ Torrent link removed. 7.5.3 & 7.5.5 are available legitimately from Apple. ~tl

When you don't need the CD, the torrent above indicates the free System 7.5.3.

The System 7.5.3 CD is free and the System 7.5.3 Floppies are also free now.

The System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 can be find in Apple, but not in disk images like 16 disk images.

This is quite depressing isn't it? Why would anyone want 7.5.2 or 7.5.3 or 7.5.5...Just use 7.6.1. It's more stable and easily obtainable!

OK. The torrent above is indicates the System 7.5.3 CD-ROM retail version to the free version. I think the Apple has been developed the CD-ROM if the System 7.5.3 CD-ROM package is purchased. I got this on other websites, this one is fully free. Unfortunately, this CD is now free (formerly is now commercial, later it's now free of charge) now. I will unable to post this on Rapidshare, so you need relief, this CD contains the free System 7.5 Version 7.5.3 and also the programs like HyperCard player, QuickDraw GX, PowerTalk, and OpenDoc 1.0.4.

In the meantime, this torrent has the installation images (System Software only). This one contains 19 images (Before You install disk, 2 Disk Tools disks and 16 install disks).

If you like System 7.5.3, you need to update to 7.5.5, free of charge in Apple. OS 7.6 has available in my RS, but due for many reasons, 7.6 installer only works for PowerBook 3400 Series.
