Power Macintosh 6320 - $9.99
Color StyleWriter 2400 - $7.99
Super Savers is a thrift store I have not been to. It's in a really bad part of town, but I was coincidentally in that part of town today so I decided to go.
The store is really interesting. They have a lot of super super old rare stuff.
They had a Trendata TD 100 data terminal. Really old looking deal. There was also this IBM monitor knockoff, labeled "Basic Lime". Google has information on neither of these.
They had no PCs, interestingly. Only the one Mac. Lots of old VGA monitors - none of them had a Mac plug or I would have picked it up.
I also drove through the city of Houston Westpark recycling center today. I had a bag of plastic bottles and a bag of soda cans that I've collected since I decided to start recycling such things about a month ago. The center is neat, you drive through the building, and all you have to do is pop the trunk and somebody takes the bags or whatever out for you, and then you drive on out of the building. So you don't even have to get out of the car or anything.
They also do computer/electronics recycling. I could see several skids. No Macs were visible, but I saw a 1.8 GHz HP. That could still be a useful computer! You could run XP and Office on that and maybe it just needs some extra RAM to speed it up. Why don't people give that stuff away instead of having it crushed.
