The DELL UltraSharp 2007FP are great retro monitors: they’re true 4:3 (native resolution is 1600x1200), they have lots of inputs (VGA, DVI, S-video, composite) and most of them (not all unfortunately) have an IPS panel!
Is that the S2134 or a smaller one? 1600x1200 (proper aspect ratio!) sounds really nice but it's soooo pricy. I've got a beat-up 5:4 LCD I found in the garbage I've been using for my retro systems and the 5:4 just makes me sad.
Do you know if it does 15kHz? The specs don't look promising.
It's a smaller one - S1911 I got for free from some guy who was giving it away, I guess because it's an older model (VGA and DVI inputs iirc). Think it's 5:4 not 4:3 since the native resolution is 1280 x 1024, but I like the squareness!
I occasionally use two 15“ LCD Apple Studio Displays even with my 68k Macs. Although not officially supported, a NuBus Video Card and carefully selected system extensions should give you a crisp image.
The big benefits with these are the two extra ADB ports on the stand.
