I bought a Mac LC a while back and stupidly didn't test it first, and it was utterly destroyed on the inside. I salvaged a few bits but one thing that it did come with was a really nice condition StyleWriter with the paper feed unit. Assumption was that it just needed ink and maybe a good cleaning but having done that I'm still stuck.
Immediately after start it goes to an orange light and the green power light flashing in unison. First thought that was bad old cartridge. Replaced the cartridge and the same result. Cleaned the connectors and everything else the guides recommended and still the same result. Then noticed it's exactly the same thing that happens when you turn it on with no cart in at all.
Anyone run into this before? I've tried both alcohol and eraser on the contacts. I have not yet torn it down to check the continuity on the ribbon cable as it snakes through the printer but thought I'd best check first before I do that.
