Strange Memory Expanders

Look at these strange memory expanders.. one is angled. These were in a Performa 600… not sure yet how much ram it is.

not so unusual. I remember that I once used similar ones to adapt the old 72pin SIMMs from the 1. generation of Power Macs to the 2nd generation’s 168pin DIMM Slot

I just hadn’t seen these before. I have 72 pin to 30 pin adapters. This is just 30 pin to 30 pin to add another 30 pin module.

Made lots of sense when a couple of DIMMs could cost hundreds of $.

I like that design better. I have some "SIMMExpander" things, but the SIMM slots are perpendicular, making it difficult to use. So to be able to use them, they sold them right-facing, left-facing, short, and tall.
