Straight swap out of a 1400cs display assembly for a 1400c, possible?

Hi, Has anyone swapped out the display and laptop lid of a cs for a c; effectively upgrading a 1400cs to a an active display 1400c.

I have the parts but hesitant to do just in case it kill the laptop,

No worries at that level, works just fine. Sent a c lid off in a trade and it worked perfectly.

For a deeper swap of just the LCD panel, I'd make sure the cables are identical parts. The ServiceSource exploded diagram(s) may have that info.

Good luck, with the ServiceSource info it's not bad at all. If your CS lid is free of stress cracks near the right hand hnimge, definitely hold onto it. Lack of good lid tops seems to be the limiting factor in my 1400 stack reduction effort. Looks like the most common (serious) case plastics failure to me.

I agree, mine is cracked as well.
