Hello MLAers! We've re-enabled auto-approval for accounts. If you are still waiting on account approval, please check this thread for more information.
I did, and as JRL said, all the info can be found in the thread he pointed out. And we also talked about it here: http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11021. The idea being that heat is the main issue. My "Macminitosh" runs well, but get pretty hot after a while. So as of yet I wouldn't run it non-stop.
But I'm definitely not the only one who did this. Look around, you'll find some other similar projects.
I'm thinking we should start a list of these on the wiki. Not a link to every page that says, "Hey, I did it too!" but at least a directory of the "definitive" instructions for specific Mac mods.
But are there ever "definitive" instructions for any specific mod? I mean, when I started the Macminitosh I spent a lot of time on the web looking for similar projects, and then I begun without any specific instructions. This was a tough challenge for me, since this was the first time I touched a soldering iron, a Dremel and a lot of tools... :b&w: Isn't this the beauty of a mod?
OK, maybe definitive was not the best term. But a list of pages that include instructions (for those of us not as adventurous as yourself), not just photos of someone's hacked box that says "Lookie here, I did it too!" would be neat.
Update: there we go. Sparse right now, but feel free to add to it.
