Some Nice Gadget Conquests

A friend recently gave me a few of his old devices :O . He gave me;

An iPhone 3GS, 32GB Black, nice condition!

Another iPhone 3GS, 16GB White, Cracked digitizer.

Dell Axiam X5 PDA, works.

Nook Color, Water damaged. Powers on for about 30 seconds, then shuts off.

iPod Nano 2g, does not turn on.

A DS Lite, Black, Works

I have already ordered a new Digitizer, Back (white, 16GB), and battery for the 2nd 3GS. If that repair goes well, then I might do the same with the Black 3GS. It is mostly fine, but the screen has some scratches, and the back has a few small cracks. The battery also does not last as long as it should. I plan to use one of the 3GS's for an oversees/backup phone, since my iP5 uses microSIM for Verizon. It will be a backup phone in case they only sell regular SIM cards wherever i might be. I might also use said 3GS as a backup iPod touch if my iPhone 5 dies. :)

I was going to use the nano for music, but unfortunately, it does not do anything when plugged in (yes, i have tried the MENU+SELECT hold, or switching the HOLD switch). xx(

Unfortunately, the Nook appears completely dead. It powers up, but upon reaching the setup screen, lasts about 4 seconds and just dies. I tried charging it, but it just keeps repeating this for hours on end. Looks like a lost cause. xx(

I have almost no use for the Dell Axiam, and the DS will be added to my modest nintendo collection. :)

Good day!

Ah man, the Dell Axim was my first and last Windows Mobile Device. I had been a diehard Palm fan, but WM was AWESOME. How novel the internet seemed from a handheld in the days before the smartphone era.
