Serial Disk driver (works on 512k/System 1.1)

a RS232 to Macintosh RS-422 cable. Same things they used in the modems back in the day. You could also make one by either cutting an old mac cable and rewiring it to a solderable DB-9, Or finding a solder type DIN port that fits the serial port of the mac. and using cat-5 cable between it, and a solder DB-9.
a cheatsheet of the cable wiring is on the net.
Thank you. I did manage to find the cheat sheet and I'll be butchering a mac serial-25 pin cable and a male to female db9 cord. Still need the usb/male-db9 to show up but I will reply when I get the chance to test the software and not waste anymore space here. Thanks again. :)

This is what I am seeing on the server side, mac side just says Unmounted / disconnected.

I compiled the server app and run it just as stated on your page, however I don't know if I am missing something?

I'm connected via usb > rs232 > female db9 > male db8 mini din.

Has anyone used this recently on a 512K or 512Ke? I've tried both these computers with all manner of System/Finder combinations and have no result. My serial connection works. The python server works. For some reason the client on the Mac isn't doing anything.

Hmmmmm nice!!! Will download and test. At the moment more people on our forum are playing with serial connections. So this is also a nice one to test!

OK, let me know if it works or not. Sometimes nothing happens, other times I get System Bomb ID 2 (address error). I posted an article today in my Mac 512K Blog about it.
