The second of my SEs seems to boot just fine, but there is a black screen. Nada.
I freshened up the four solder joints usually to blame. One of the solder joints, the top one, was indeed cracked, and there was evidence of arcing. Assuming the resoldering worked (should have), is there something else obvious that could have been knocked out by this arcing?
I see no bulging capacitors or other blown components, but clearly, the caps are ancient and most anything could have failed at this stage of the game.
