Has anybody done this? I just got an SE wich do not have the whole drive bay (holder if you will) for the 3.5" and HD drives. I have an spare part from motherboard-dead, Classic inc. working 3.5" drive and HD (40Mb, original).
The bracket does look similar, but would require extensive modification to fit properly in an SE. You might be able to make your own bracket out of wood or tin.
Too bad, the SE won't power up at all. No spare parts to fix it, nor are experienced with soldering. Dropped also the whole machine as it wasn't screwed 8-o
So at the moment, it's just parts. Took the motherboard off for safe keeping, might come handy.
