SE/30 with Signatures

Maybe it's me but I have never seen an SE/30 with signatures.. this one even has Steve's in it.. I am not sure how to run the date code thing so perhaps someone can run it.. :) I used to remember how it was setup when I used to do warranty repairs but I've forgotten.. Anyone with any input on this?? :)

I would not say uncommon. My understanding is that by the SE/30 it was hit or miss. When new molds where made for increased production of cases the signatures where dropped. But molds that may have been modified to slightly new form factors retained signatures, of the most part.

Edit: By the way, increased production also means production started in other countries. So it may be that all the case molds made in Japan don't have signatures while those cases made in Cali do. Not sure if actual cases where made or shipped to Cork.

Funny because this one says inside.. "RAWAL ENGRAVERS MOLD TEXTURING" as well as "DIE MOLD DELUXE ELMHURST ILLINOIS. TOOL NO. 4" if that means anything.. the die may have been made in the U.S. but who know's where they were melted... :)

E013 translates to a the 13th week of 1990 in Singapore. Let me check myoldmac's database to make sure.

Edit: Yep, here it is:

Manufactured in: E => Singapore

Year of production: 1990

Week of production: 13

Production number: 11C => 1202

Modell ID: M5390 => unknown Mac

Your unknown Mac was the 1202th Mac manufactured during the 13th week of 1990 in Singapore.
