SE/30 Video Section Replacement Parts

Does anyone have a list of known good Mouser or Digikey part numbers for the following SE/30 ICs:

UE8 LS166

UF8 and UG8 LS393

UA8, UB8 and UC8 74F253

As long as you match the LS for LS,. and F for F, you should be fine.

I can confirm the following:

UE8 LS166: Mouser Part # 595-SN74LS166AD

UA8, UB8 and UC8 74F253: Mouser Part # 595-SN74F253DR

I haven't yet needed to replace a UF8 or UG8 but I ordered and am pretty confident that 595-SN74LS393D will work.

I had to replace UG8 once. Replaced it with a LS393 from mouser - worked just like new afterwards. Probably was the same you found as well.

You can use the Bolle PAL jedec files to program 16V8’s. The VIDEO ROM is a 27C.

For the VROM: maybe you can find a binary online, either create one yourself when you need a clone.

I didnt realize it but UF8 and UG8 are 14 pin chips but the rest are 16 pin chips.

Are we certain that A-E are the same?

Sorry, I should have said UA8 through UD8 are the same.

Here's a BOM of all the parts on the SE/30. What you're looking for is on the "Top-Side PnP BOM" tab. Any chips that aren't available as commodity parts are on the "Top-Side Special Parts" tab.
