SE/30 Testbench case

Another quick 3D printed widget, this time for a SE/30 LB. I typically have one on my desk with either an original chassis with extension cords or one of caymac's RGBtoHDMIs sent to me by @Jockelill. I figured it was time to give it a little more dignity and protection. Board slides and latches in place and has cutouts for 3M SJ5400 small rubber feet on the bottom. Supports beneath the board allow pressing on the slots and sockets without overly flexing it.

Around 150g of plastic, 230mm * 235mm. If you have good overhang performance, you might be able to print without supports, I turned them on to be safe (but then you'll have a job cleaning out the rails for the LB).

Can you tell me more about your bench speaker shown in the picture? Where did you get it?

Also, why do you have a serial cable going to your ROM SIMM :) What interesting thing is going on there!

The bench speaker is just a random high impedance speaker stolen from a deskphone headset. Nothing terribly fancy, I'm afraid

The ROM SIMM is one of my ISP-SIMMs, it normally has a USB cable also for programming and a bank select switch. It's foundational to all the hardware development I do as I can push bare-metal code to it very quickly. Still one of my favorite things I've made.

Unfortunately it is larger than the usual ~220 odd mm beds on the common midsized printers, I've got a bambu with a slightly larger bed so I was barely able to make it fit. If you find someone with a Bambu also I think all of their beds ought to be large enough (256*256)
 
I had this printed in transparent resin. There were no cutouts for rubber feet on the bottom, but I haven't checked if they were missing from the file or if the printer made a mistake. In any case, it came out very nice. Thanks @zigzagjoe !

That looks nice! It seems like when I suppressed a certain feature (modification I made for my own use) for some reason it removed the feet cutouts as well. Attached is a fixed file.

I’ve just had 2 printed at JLC3DP (JLCPCB). Still on their way to me (no rush so I chose the economy delivery) so can’t comment on quality but the price was good and others who have used them seem happy.

JLCPCB. Now is unfortunately not the best time to use them if you’re in the US, with tariffs and stuff.
