SCSI2SD v6 USB file system

Hey guys!

This will be a short one but I haven't found the answer written anywhere explicitly:

I have a SCSI2SD v6 working successfully. According to the homepage, it can be mounted as a USB drive to exchange data easily.

However, how exactly that can be done is not written anywhere and I don't want to damage my devices (Mac and Laptop).

Does the Mac has to be powered and on? Is it just mountable when it's connected via USB to my laptop (just as I would be flashing firmware)?

I use this feature all the time.  I've never tried it with the classic-era Macintosh turned on, but once you plug in a USB cable, the drives on the SCSI2SD should just appear if your OS supports HFS.  If you use an OS with HFS write support, you won't have any trouble transferring files back and forth.  But if you use later versions of OSX, the drives will be read only.

Okay, didn't succeed. I ultimatively plugged in the SD card into my laptop and could mount it then with hfsprogs and hfsutils installed (I'm on linux). Via udiskie my drive popped up correctly.
