it's also false. firewire sync works fine if you use an industrial CF and rebuild the partitions before attempting a restore.

Love how "industrial" CF cards don't seem to be better quality parts just have a fixed over removable setting yet charged thrice the amount for them

Never worked my iPod 5G out over FW, as it works without a hitch; can only presume something up with the controller IC if anyone ever had more to gleam please post.

There's got to be more to it than that!

However, that said, is it possible to hack normal consumer CF cards to behave as the "industrial" ones do (ie, reporting as "fixed" instead of "removable")?
