Screenshot program for system 7?

Anyone know if one exists? Even a basic one like you run it and it captures your current screen output? :)

Snapz Pro (not X) 2.0.1 by Ambrosia Software if you can find it. Can capture to a QuickTime movie but in my experience System 7 Macs are too slow to keep up.

Otherwise the built-in Command-Shift-3 screenshot FKEY works pretty well.

Well it ""works"" but I cant close the settings window because its too big for the se/30's display. Ehhhh, now I'll need to write applescript to convert from a pict to a jpg :-/

I would probably use the built-in keyboard command, Command + Shift + 3, which will create a PICT file.

GraphicConverter on both Classic Mac OS and modern Mac OS X can do that conversion pretty well. Not sure about old versions, but GraphicConverter 9 on Mac OS X can also do them in batches.

If you can pin down a copy of the first few editions of Mac Secrets, there was a program on the disks which accompanied the book with a program called FlashIt. It was what the authors of the book used to capture menu bars and other screen shots they published.

I think they included Snapz with later editions of the book, but I could be mistaken.

I don't recall if FlashIt was freeware, shareware, or commercial software included with the book (as Secrets did with some titles) offhand. If it winds up being freeware/shareware, I'd definitely be willing to send you a copy.
