Result of feeding 5V into dead iMac G4 externally

So my iMac G4 cant produce 5V, so a 5V power supply is hooked up to the molex connector of my iMac through the dvd drive hole, you can see the logic board through the holes on top of the dome because both drives are removed and a red light comes on when the 5V supply is turned on.

Removed the SMD power switch which was a dumb idea but luckily I have one that looks the same and will work with the outside button, ill share the final results of attempting to turn it on soon.

You may need to consider feeding this supply into the actual input spot on the motherboard. The molex connector for the DVD drive is going to be designed to output this power to a drive, and the system board may be using it somewhere along the way.
